The UNP Kurunegala district parliamentarian,the deputy general secretary of the party,Attorney at law Akila Viraj Kariawasam had married Uththara Wijenayake yesterday at the Mount Lavinia hotel.
The attesting witnesses to the wedding of the 41 year old parliamentarian had been opposition leader Ranil Wickremasinge and leader of the leadership council of UNP Karu Jayasuriya.It is learnt that Akila,Viraj Kariawasam had been a close associate of Ranil for sometime.
